
Ex-Soldier Goes Missing in Kodagu; Suicide Suspected, Search On in Cauvery River
A 46-year-old ex-serviceman, Girish, a resident of Chettalli in Suntikoppa, has gone missing under suspicious circumstances, prompting an extensive search operation in the Cauvery River near Theppadakandi, Kushalnagar.
Girish, who is currently employed with SLN in Kushalnagar, was last seen earlier this week. His motorcycle was discovered abandoned near the riverbank at Theppadakandi, raising fears that he may have taken his own life by jumping into the river.
Upon this discovery, a joint search operation was swiftly launched by the Kushalnagar police, fire department, and NDRF personnel. The team is currently combing the river stretch in hopes of locating the missing individual.
A missing person’s case has been officially registered at the Kushalnagar City Police Station, and investigations are ongoing. Authorities have not ruled out any possibilities and are urging locals with any information to come forward.
The incident has caused deep concern in the community, with friends and colleagues awaiting updates as the search continues along the Cauvery.
