Madikeri: Kodagu district in-charge minister NS Bhoseraju stressed the importance of skill acquisition for students to improve their employability during the launch of a skill development diploma course at Kodagu University on Sunday.

Highlighting the changing job market, the minister noted that advancements in technology have reshaped employment requirements, making it essential for students to align their skills with evolving demands. “The state government is focused on revising curricula and introducing schemes to support skill development,” he said, urging students to utilize such opportunities to remain competitive.

Madikeri MLA Manthar Gowda lauded Kodagu University for pioneering free skill development initiatives in the state. “Opportunities like these, which integrate education and skill-building, are rare. Students must continue honing their skills even after entering the workforce,” he added.
