Madikeri: A 45-year-old man, Jeenukubara Thimma, was seriously injured in a bison attack near Boggana Hadlu village in Thitimati. The incident occurred while he was working near his home.
The bison inflicted severe injuries to Thimma’s left leg. He has been admitted to Madikeri District Hospital for treatment.
Forest department officials have visited the site of the attack to assess the situation. Sanket Poovaiah, a member of the State Wildlife Protection Committee, also visited the hospital to inquire about Thimma’s condition.
Poovaiah informed reporters that the incident has been reported to the constituency MLA, S. Ponnanna, who has instructed the forest department and medical staff to provide the necessary care to the victim.
