Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, the newly elected Lok Sabha member from the Mysore-Kodagu constituency, has outlined his key priorities, including the development of tourism, industries, and the IT sector, as well as the conservation of heritage structures and a focus on agriculture. In his inaugural press meet as MP, Wadiyar expressed gratitude to voters, party workers, leaders, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their support, acknowledging his ancestors’ contributions to Mysuru’s legacy.

He emphasized his commitment to collaborate with all political figures, including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, for the constituency’s progress. Wadiyar plans to be accessible to his constituents from his Kuvempu Nagar office and will address grievances raised during the election campaign. He has already initiated discussions with district officials to review pending projects from the previous MP, Pratap Simha.

Wadiyar has addressed concerns about the reduced number of flights from Mysuru Airport, promising efforts to increase flight operations and expedite airport expansion. He opposes the demolition of Devaraja Market, advocating for its conservation, and aims to ensure development projects on Chamundi Hill do not harm the natural environment. Additionally, he supports the continuation of the state government’s guarantee schemes for public benefit.
