Bagepalli: In response to a tip-off from the public, the police in Bagepally conducted a raid and seized three lorries that were illegally transporting heavy granite blocks. The trucks were traveling from Gullur on the outskirts of town to the main road.
The raid was led by In-charge Circle Inspector Nayaz Baig. He stated that further inspections would be conducted by officials from the Transport Department and Mines and Earth Science Department to gather more information about this illegal transportation of granite.
Illegal transportation of such heavy materials can have various negative impacts, including damage to roads, environmental degradation, and potential safety hazards.
