Kolar : A shocking incident of rape has come to light from a village in Mulbagilu taluk. A 21-year-old man allegedly raped a seven-year-old girl on Saturday night. The accused has been arrested and a POCSO case has been registered against him.
The victim, a first-grader, and the accused are residents of the same village. The man had approached the girl’s family seeking plaster work. On the day of the incident, he accompanied the girl’s father for work.
According to the complaint filed by the girl’s mother, the accused returned home alone, lured the child with a mobile phone, took her to their house, raped her, and fled the scene. The traumatized girl was found bleeding and was immediately rushed to a hospital in Mulbagilu for treatment.
The police have apprehended the accused and remanded him to judicial custody. Further investigations are underway.
