Udupi: In a tragic incident, four persons from Karkala were killed and five sustained serious injuries after a lorry fell into a gorge at Agumbe Ghat here on Friday October 29.
It is reported that the accident occurred as a result of the driver of the lorry moving towards Hebri from Shivamogga lost control. Subsequently, the lorry fell into a gorge.
Despite, locals rushing to the rescue of the people, four succumbed on the spot. The injured were shifted to Manipal Hospital for treatment.
Hebri and Agumbe police visited the spot.
