Chikkamagaluru: The District Maharshi Valmiki Nayaka Yuva Sangha has urged the district administration to identify the Valmiki Bhavan site being constructed in the city properly and complete the Bhavan by constructing a compound. In this regard, the office-bearers of the youth association submitted a memorandum to the deputy commissioner’s office and demanded that land be identified along with the construction of the compound. Speaking on the occasion, District President of Yuva Sangha Jagadish Kote said that the land of Valmiki Bhavan has been handed over to the Department by CDA and Integrated Tribal Development Project for the construction of Bhavan at CA site in Beekanahalli village layout.
Since the state government has allocated an additional grant of Rs 75 lakh for the construction of the building in the city and Rs.18 lakh as the first installment has been sanctioned to the joint account through the district administration, the CDA department should be instructed to construct the Bhavan and the land allotted should be identified and the compound should be constructed, he said.
But now that a road has passed next to the Bhavan, an immediate inspection should be conducted and the land allotted to Valmiki Bhavan should be identified. Despite several requests in this regard, no work is going on. Therefore, he demanded that the work should be completed at the earliest and allowed to be used by the public.
