Chikkamagaluru: District Block Congress staged a protest at Hanumanthappa Circle here on Friday February 17 against Minister Dr. C. N. Ashwath Narayan’s derogatory remarks against Opposition Leader and Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
Block Congress President H. P. Manjegowda demanded that Minister Ashwath Narayan should be sacked from his ministerial post and legal action should be taken against him for his derogatory remarks that Siddaramaiah should be killed in the same way as Tipu got killed. Siddaramaiah has been in power for five years as a popular Chief Minister of the State and was concerned for the poor. Therefore, we condemn the statement made by the present Higher Education Minister.
Chief Minister and the Governor should immediately intervene and drop Minister Ashwath Narayan from the Cabinet, he insisted.
Karnataka was the land ruled by Kempegowda. It is a matter of shame that in such a land, there are people in the BJP who have a perverted mind, he said.
