Chikkamagaluru: Kunnalu villagers quit JDS to join BJP

Chikkamagaluru: Many leaders of the Scheduled Tribes community and Kunnal Villagers left the JD (S) and accepted the ideology of the Bharatiya Janata Party and joined the BJP at the MLA’s residence.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA C. T. Ravi said that the BJP is the only party which has given government schemes to all equals irrespective of caste and creed. He said it was because of the pride of many such programmes that various leaders were leaving the party and joining the BJP. Pro-people schemes from the Central and State Governments has been launched for Scheduled Tribe community, he said.

“This has led to the development of the Nation. BJP should not listen to the unwanted things being said by others and should watch closely and join hands for development work,” he said.

BJP Rural ST Morcha President H. M. Madhukumar said that the State Government has decided to implement the ST Scheme. It is because of the reservation and pro-people schemes given to the community that many people are leaving various parties and joining the BJP. More will join the BJP in the coming days, he said.

Around 20 people from Kunnalu Village left the JD (S) and joined the BJP.
BJP ST Morcha Lakya Hobli General Secretary Thammegowda, City President Pradeep, Kunnalu Village Natives Rajnesh Ravi, Basavaraju, Mallikarjun, Nethra, Leelavathi Amaiyamma, Manjula, Arathi Sannamma, Bhaga, Neelamma, Netravathi, Shobha, Latha and others were present on the occasion.
