Chikkamagaluru: The ‘next chief minister’ slogan has once again been heard in the Congress. The announcement of ‘Siddu CM’ was made when leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah came to Chikkamagaluru for a private function.

Slogans were raised for Siddaramaiah as the next Chief Minister. After the press conference, activists raised slogans in favour of Sidhu. Thus, the ‘next CM’ statement, which had been absent for a few days, has resumed.

Speaking to mediapersons Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah said that D. K. Shivakumar had invited those who had migrated to the Congress and asked if anyone else could apply. Those who believe in the Congress ideology and leadership can apply. It is not that people joined the Congress as soon as they applied. There is a Committee under the chairmanship of Allam Veerabhadrappa where it is finalised, he noted.

Speaking about the meeting that Motamma’s daughter should not get a ticket in Mudigere, he said, “Where there is internal Democracy, these are common. There is no internal Democracy in the BJP, so there is no such thing.”

Taking a jibe at Sriramulu’s demand for repair of the canal, Siddaramaiah said, “Let’s see if Sriramulu contests from Monakalmuru this time and wins. He questioned for those who had left the party saying what do they have to do with the party, ideology and RSS? Is he an RSS guy? He was earlier a municipal councillor from the Congress and kater joined the BJP. Within 24 hours of coming to power, he had written in his blood that he would implement the Nagamohan Das report, nothing happened, he complained.
