Chikkamagaluru: After the arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the dignity of Padma Shri award has increased and Now the Padma Shri Award is a people’s award, said MLA C. T. Ravi and added that earlier Padma Shri Award were a big beneficiary but now those who are known for the sentiments of the people have got the award.
Speaking in the City, he said, “Those who are working as leafy vegetables are looking for awards. Eight eminent personalities from State have been awarded the Padma Shri and I congratulate them,” he noted.
“S. M. Krishna has been awarded the Padma Vibhushan. It was Sudha Murthy who used wealth for service without a trace of arrogance. He said that it was S. L. Bhyrappa who made his mark in the field of literature.
