Chikkamagaluru: JDS Leader YSV Datta has won hearts of scores of Kannadigas because of his simplicity.
However, the leader has made many more fans with his latest attempt to return to teaching profession.
Datta has started teaching mathematics to tenth standard students through his facebook page and the first episode of the series was posted on Tuesday.
In an introductory speech, the leader said that it was Minister for Education Suresh Kumar, who prompted him to start this online sessions.
Datta is not new to teaching. With a teaching experience of forty years and even having run tutorials in Bengaluru, where he taught mathematics and physics to Class 10 and 12 students and also for engineering students, Datta always remained connected to his teaching profession, despite his hectic schedule as a politician.
Even after venturing into politics, he used to teach in his constituency Kadur in Chikkamagaluru, whenever he could take out time.
The leader has said that through his initiative, he wants to bring SSLC students back into ‘exam mood’, because despite the uncertainty, the SSLC examinations will be held anytime soon and hence he wants to the students to be prepared.
Datta will hold these online sessions everyday at 7.30 pm from his home and it will be streamed live on his FB page.
