Chikkamagaluru: State tourism minister C T Ravi said that nobody is ‘clean’ in this world, including the bureaucrats and politicians.
Addressing the media on Monday, February 24, he said, “Former chief minister and Opposition leader Siddaramaiah must introspect if anybody is truly ‘clean’, especially those who used to go to casinos during Assembly sessions and return after several days. Some people pretend to be very pure and clean, but show their true colour once they are in Singapore’s casinos.”
“You just cannot count how many politicians and bureaucrats go to casinos in Goa during the weekends during the Belagavi Assembly session. After they return, the next day in the Assembly, this becomes a hot topic for debate. Actually, locals are not allowed in the casinos, but tourists are allowed to enter. This is how casinos make money. I had raised this point, recently in the Assembly session, but did not mean to say that the state government was up for opening casinos in the state. Those who claim to be pure must refrain from having double standards. Nobody should misunderstand me, as it is a fact,” he added.
