Chikkamagaluru: Two children were killed in a tragic accident and about ten others suffered injuries after their school bus toppled in Tarikere, Chikkamagaluru district on Thursday evening, August 4.
Two LKG students, Preetham and Chaya were killed after the bus got stuck in mud and toppled. The injured were rushed to hospitals in Shivamogga and Ajjampura.
According to sources, Sandeepani Public School bus was taking the students home when the driver steered to the left in order to allow an oncoming bus to pass. However, the school bus got stuck in the mud and toppled over.
The locals rescued the children. A case was registered at Ajjampura police station and investigations are on.
