Hassan: Hassan SP was transferred by the Election Commission of India based on the recommendations of the Karnataka State Electoral Officer.
Superintendent of Police A N Prakash Gowda was transferred on Thursday and Chethan Singh Rathode was posted in his place in the Hassan District.
Last week Priyanka Mary Francis was posted as Deputy Commissioner of the district after replacing Akram Pasha.
It is said that the BJP had sought transfer of both top officials to ensure free and fair elections in Hassan.
