Hassan: Angry man kills tailor for messaging his spouse

Hassan: It has been reported that a man killed a tailor along with his accomplices on Thursday October 15 at Channarayapattana near here.

The deceased has been identified as Gangadhar, who owned a tailoring shop in Channarayapattana Town. It is said that the accused Bharat was enraged as Gangadhar allegedly was sending messages to his wife. The accused Bharat and his friends, Somu, Chiru and Abhi took Gangadhar to an isolated place on Shravanabelagola Road, 6 km from town and brutally assaulted him. When Gangadhar’s friend, who was travelling on the same route, noticed this and approached, the accused fled from the scene.

Gangadhar was immediately admitted to the local hospital but he succumbed to injuries. It is said that for a decade Gangadhar made a career in tailoring and now he had made it a big business. Also, he used to earn his living and gave employment to 5 people in his tailoring shop.

All the accused are absconding after the incident. Based on the complaint filed by Gangadhar’s wife Soumya, the Channarayapattana Town Police has registered a case and is investigating.
