Hassan: A wild elephant gave birth to a calf inside a coffee plantation at Kirihalli Village in Sakleshpur Taluk of District.
A herd of wild elephants that have come to the coffee plantation in Magadi Estate are standing around the baby elephant for protection. The Forest Officials who came to know about the incident visited the garden and inspected it. They instructed that no one should enter the coffee plantation.
Elephants behave sensitively when they give birth. They go in groups for protection. If someone comes in the way, there is a high chance of attack. Hence, the Forest Department staff has instructed that no one should go inside the coffee plantation.
