Hassan: Police arrested two persons who allegedly stole the money from drunkard and recovered Rs. 9.12 lakh from them.
It is said that MESCOM employee Santhosh on January 27 withdrew Rs. 11 lakh from bank and visited bar to consume liquor. The two accused Prasanna of Kyatanahalli and Manjunath of Jodi Krishnapura Village saw him in inebriated state.
Santhosh finished his drink and left for his home in a bike. He went to petrol bunk and there he lost his control on himself. The two accused who were following him managed to steal the cash bag, and fled from the scene.
Followed by complaint from Santhosh, police succeded in arresting the accused through footage from CCTV cameras. Police has recovered Rs 9.12 lakh, one pulsar bike and two mobile phones used for the crime. Police are further investigating.
