Hassan: Residents of Doddabeekanahalli village under Sakleshpur assembly constituency in Hassan taluk had threatened to boycott voting in protest against the shortage of staff at the primary veterinary centre.
Following the directions of Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer M.S. Archana, Hassan Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer, along with veterinary department doctors, visited Doddabeekanahalli village and discussed with the villagers about the shortage of staff at the veterinary centre.
Later, the Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry department issued an order assigning staff to Dodda Beekanahalli Veterinary Hospital. The villagers then informed that they would withdraw the boycott, said the executive officer of Hassan taluk panchayat.
