Hassan: Karnataka Rashtra Samithi (KRS) Party’s V. Ramesh Bhuvanahalli has alleged that Hassan MLA Pritam Gowda and BJP District Unit President H. K. Suresh are indulging in an immoral act of seeking votes by luring the voters before the polls.
Addressing a press conference here, he alleged that Ashtalakshmi pooja was organised in the name of Parivartana Trust at the Eternal School Ground in Sathyamangala Layout on Monday March 6 and MLA Preetham Gowda was offering sarees, blouses, and silver Lakshmi pendants to hundreds of women.

Party State President Ravi Krishna Reddy had visited the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Hassan and requested him to cooperate in conducting free and fair elections in the State. Despite that, these kind of activities are repeated, he said.
It has also been reported in many sections of the media that BJP District President Suresh has insulted people and destroyed people’s lives by making them consuming liquor. “This is a serious matter and the candidates who commit such acts are criminals and the Local Administration should take appropriate action to ensure free and fair elections,” he said.
“The MLA gave gifts to the voters in the name of Parivartana Trust and he demanded to find out the source of the money to give items free of cost and to organise the event in the name of this Trust should also be investigated and action should be taken against those who have organised the event.
