Hassan: Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Minister A. Manju, who is facing serious allegation of signing files to sanction government land even after election model code of conduct was imposed, answered to the notice served by the District Election Officer.

Arakalagodu Returning Officer (RO) Venkataramana Reddy had served a notice to the minister on April 7. Though the last date to answer is over, the minister has submitted a written reply on Thursday to avoid the registration of one-sided FIR.
Hassan Deputy Commissioner, also District Election Officer Rohini Sindhuri would discuss the matter with the Returning Officer. Further, action will be based on his answer, said the sources.

A Manju is facing the allegation of signing 1,093 files of Bagair Hukum cultivators of Arakalagudu region to grant their land even after the declaration of Assembly election dates and violated the model code of conduct. Moreover, he mentioned old dates in the files, it is said.
