Hassan: Janata Dal (S) MLC K T Shrikante Gowda’s statement on actor-politician Late Ambareesh’s wife Sumalatha Ambareesh, saying that she was not a ‘Gowdati’ of Mandya, had ignited a spark in the state politics as well as created distress among the fans and supporters of Ambareesh. Now, when asked about the same, Shrikante Gowda has refused to clarify on the matter and said, “It’s a closed chapter”, here on Sunday, February 10.
Speaking to the media, he said that it was not a relevant topic to discuss and skipped the question by saying ‘no comments’.
Shrikante Gowda has opined that the JDS party was going strong and that Assembly and Lok Sabha seats were in the hands of the JDS.
He said, “Keeping in mind all these calculations, I urge the Congress party to give us Mandya Constituency”.
He also denied commenting on the former foreign affairs minister and current Bharatiya Janata Party leader S M Krishna’s party meet in Mandya.
Shrikante Gowda also opined that, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy’s budget was par excellent, because of which people have high hopes on his leadership.
