B Y Raghavendra demands Rs 10 Lakh relief from state govt for ‘Monkey Fever’ victims

Shivamogga: “People, who succumbed to ‘Monkey Fever’, did not die a natural death. Hence they should be provided atleast Rs 10 Lakh as relief”, said MP B Y Raghavendra, here on Saturday, January 19.

Addressing the media he said, “We have failed to invent a medicine to such a disease which was already prevalent in the Malnad region, due to which currently, 10 have died.

Jan Shatabdi rail to be finalised by Jan end

B Y Raghavendra said, “The union railway minister had decided to introduce a passenger train between Bengaluru-Shivamogga. Since I did not accept the project, ‘Shatabhi’ or ‘Jan Shatabdi’ will be introduced to which the minister has nodded.”

He said that the rail lines will be opened between Shivamogga and Bengaluru by January end.
