Mosques and other prayer halls in the containment zone should not be opened to the public. People over the age of 60, chronically ill, pregnant, children under 10 should be at home, he said. No group gathering and wearing masks are compulsory. The mosque should be marked so that people can maintain social distancing. He said that the mosque should be opened 5 minutes before the start of azaan and should be closed as soon as compulsory namaz is over.

He added that mats, hats and other necessary item needed for prayer should be brought from home. “Iftar gathering should not be held at the mosque. Fasting should be ended at home and come only for prayer. The mosque should be cleaned and disinfected after each prayer. Plaques should be installed in the mosque on the care of the covid Guidelines.”

He said that care committees should be set up to ensure compliance with the covid Guidelines at each mosque and make sure that the guidelines issued by the government are followed.
