Shivamogga: In a major relief for the locals, the Shivamogga city corporation has gone digital thus reducing the waiting period required to secure a document.
The new system was inaugurated by Mayor Nagaraj Kankari on July 2 morning. People will now be required to apply for documents by filling Form No 2 and payment of a minimal fee.
Earlier, the people had to wait for longer periods if any officer was on leave and at times even had to put up with corrupt officers. The digital system will address all these issues effectively, said the Mayor.
