Doddapete Police nab trio accused of theft in mobile shop

Shivamogga: Police have successfully nabbed three accused in connection with a theft case at a mobile shop on Thursday, December 12.

The accused are Sheik Arbas aka Arbas Bin S M Zameer (20), Mohammad Shafeel aka Heena Bin Sharief (19) and Mansoor Ahmed aka Bablu Bin Muneer Ahmed (20).

Police seized mobile phones of different brands worth Rs 4,20,000, a Bajaj Platina bike bearing the registration number KA – 14 – EF – 5210 worth Rs 30, 000 and two iron rods.

The trio were produced before the court today and remanded to judicial custody.

It can be recalled that on November 29 night, the trio broke into Srinidhi Cell Point mobile shop at C K V Towers, located at B H Road and stole around 27 mobiles and cash.

A complaint was filed by the shop owner with the Doddapete police.

Under the guidance of Deputy Superintendent of Police Umesh Eshwar Naik, a team led by  Doddapete Circle Inspector Vasanth Kumar R comprising PSI Shankar Murthy, ASI Vacha Naik, and staff arrested the trio.
