Shivamogga: In the backdrop of audio clip release found wherein State BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel allegedly speaking about ousting Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister K. S. Eshwarappa and Jagdish Shettar faction, Eshwarappa said that he is not afraid to lose ministership and will work towards party organisation if that is the case.
Speaking to media persons on Monday July 19, Eshwarappa said that he is ready to take up any responsibility given to him by BJP’s senior leaders and high command. I am not here for power, he added.
Clarifying that he trusts BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel, Eshwarappa said that when Kateel himself is saying that the audio clip is fake, I believe him completely. And I am not for investigation into the audio clip issue. Even then if they want to investigate, let it happen as I am sure that the audio clip is a plot to create further divide in the party and I know for sure that Kateel will not resort to such tactics, he stressed.
Rubbishing allegations by JD (S) Leader H. D. Kumaraswamy that cash was exchanged by Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa at Delhi meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Eshwarappa said that such cheap behaviours are below the level of dignified leaders like Narendra Modi and Yediyurappa.
