Shivamogga: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Candidate K S Eshwarappa’s campaign is set to get a big boost as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to take part in an election rally in Shivamogga on Saturday, May 5.
In a press meet held on May 1, District BJP President Rudregauda said that Modi would arrive at 3 PM and address the party supporters at the rally organised at the NES Ground situated behind the Kuvempu Ranga Mandira. More than 1 lakh supporters are expected to attend the rally, he added.
An upbeat Rudregauda said that the prime minister’s visit will inspire the party workers to work harder and help the party to win the Assembly elections.
With this, the visit of the BJP top leadership to the district for campaigning continues. Only a few days ago, BJP National President Amit Shah had participated in an election rally and public meeting here.
During the press meet, some leaders from other political parties switched sides to the BJP. They were welcomed into the party.
Earlier in the day, K S Eshwarappa, Rudregauda and the BJP workers also went on a door to door campaign in the areas around Ramanna Shresti Park and Gandhi Bazaar.
