Shivamogga: The District Youth Congress held a protest here in the City condemning State BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel’s statement calling Rahul Gandhi ‘a drug addict and drug-peddler’. The Youth Congress members burnt Kateel’s effigy in protest representinv him as joker.
The protestors said that such statements are a reflection of BJP’s lowly culture. The statements are very childish, they added.
Further, the protestors demanded that Kateel resign as a MP.
Meanwhile, in Bengaluru Congress MLA Dinesh Gundu Rao came down heavily on Kateel, and said that he is foolish. Kateel needs to be admitted to NIMHANS for such unintelligible statements that shows uncultured behaviour.
