Shivamogga: Even though confusion of building the Ram Mandir is averted by the court, the concern over the sustenance of the temple is our next challenge, says Pejawar pontiff Shri Vishwaprasanna Teertha.
He was speaking at the Brahmana Hostel in Shivamogga while participating in the felicitation ceremony of achievers and Yajuh Samhithayaga held for global welfare by the District Brahmin Mahasabha.
He expressed concern over the children lacking knowledge of the religion and about Ram Mandir, which he feared may exposing them to move away from religion. “We need to educate the children about the culture in our homes. Encourage children to play role of our gods during our festivals. This is how Hindus and Ram Mandir can sustain,” he stressed.
“Today Ravana’s personality is shining brighter than Rama’s personality. There is a growing sense in the society that they are learning Ravana’s sense of desire but neglecting Rama’s sense of sacrifice,” he said. He added that Rama’s culture cannot be taught in school and it needs to be instilled at home itself.
