Shivamogga: The Kuvempu University will hold its 31st Convocation Ceremony in October and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will be the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Vice Chancellor Prof. B. P. Veerabhadrappa led delegation met Sitharaman on Thursday September 16 and formally invited her to the programme. The Union Minister agreed to grace the function and informed that conducting the same in the second half of October would be suitable for her.
Union Minister Sitharaman has assured that she will be part of the programme if held after October 15. As there has been relaxation in Covid Guidelines, the Convocation Ceremony will be in offline mode and it is a pleasure that the Minister will visit our university, said Vice Chancellor.
Registrar (Evaluation) Prof. C. M. Thyagaraj, Directorate of Distance Education Director Prof. S. N. Yogesh, and Kuvempu University Delhi Representative Rajashekar Savanur were present.
