Shivamogga: The video that is viral of conversation between Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) Coordinator Saleem and Former MP V. S. Ugrappa is the testimony to how Congress party now has been relegated to be a joke, said Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj K. S. Eshwarappa taking a jibe.
He was addressing the media persons here on Wednesday October 13. Stating that he saw the clippings of the conversation on television, Eshwarappa said that he will not go into details of the conversation as it is beneath his dignity. I would only like to say that this is the real situation of Congress party.
Noting that his prophecy that Congress in State will split before election, he elaborated that KPCC President D. K. Shivakumar and former Chief Minister and Opposition Party Leader Siddaramaiah’s followers are lambasting at each other. This will prove a death knell to unity in Congress, he said. While Siddaramaiah says that the migrants that came into Congress along with Shivakumar have harmed the party, Shivakumar says it is Siddu’s followers who are detrimental to the party. The fire which was burning internally has found its way out, Eshwarappa asserted.
Talking about JD (S) Leader H. D. Kumaraswamy, Eshwarappa said he has been making statements to stay relevant. He and his party has been orphaned, and it is this feeling that has resulted HDK making shallow remarks, he said. It is highly childish of him to say that BJP party is still existing in the State as Siddaramaiah was hand in glove with Former CM B. S. Yediyurappa. If that is so let Kumaraswamy show the evidence or document to prove the same, he challenged.
Like how Congress has no standing nationally, in State too Congress will fall by the next elections, and Siddaramaiah would forced to leave politics, said Eshwarappa taking a jibe on Siddu.
Further, Eshwarappa added that he is ready to debate with Siddaramaiah in a single platform as he has not met him in a long time.
