Wanted ‘Market Loki’ gets shot in leg by police while trying to escape

Shivamogga: In a police firing, accused Lokesh aka ‘Market Loki’ has been shot in his left thigh and has been moved to the McGANN District Hospital on Wednesday, February 12.

According to reports, ‘Market Loki’ is wanted in many criminal cases for which he was arrested in Tamil Nadu and brought to Shivamogga for investigation Tuesday, February 11 evening.

As per police sources, when he was taken to the Abbalagere village today at around 6.30 pm for a spot inspection pertaining to one of his cases, Lokesh is said to have tried to escape from the police. At this point in time, the police shot at him and injured his leg.

Reportedly, during this operation, Constable Kiran was also injured. The constable was taken to McGANN Hospital and later moved to Maax Super Speciality Hospital.
