The Rajput leader who represented Seraj constituency five times is married to Dr Sadhana Thakur, who hails from Shivamogga.
Sadhana’s maiden name is Sadhana Rao and her parents shifted to Jaipur in Rajasthan when she was a child. She studied medicine at SMS Medical College in Jaipur in the1980s.
She was an active ABVP member and thus met Thakur, who was a full-time activist who worked in Jammu and Kashmir before contesting from Mandi on a BJP ticket. The couple has two daughters.
