
KSRTC Bus Accident Injures Over 35 Passengers on Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway
Mandya: A serious accident occurred on Monday morning when a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus toppled on the Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway near Sanjo Hospital, injuring over 35 passengers. The bus was en route from Tumakuru to Mysuru, passing through Maddur, when a goods transport vehicle unexpectedly crossed its path. In an effort to avoid a collision, the bus driver lost control, resulting in the bus overturning.
Local residents quickly sprang into action, rushing to the scene to assist and rescue the trapped passengers. The injured individuals were promptly transported to Sanjo Hospital and Mandya District Hospital for treatment. Among the more than 50 passengers on board, a significant number were school and college students, raising concerns for their well-being.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine further details and prevent such incidents in the future. Community members are calling for improved road safety measures to protect travelers on this busy highway.
