Mandya: Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy has strongly criticized Deputy Chief Minister (DCM) DK Shivakumar for showing videos of him at the Congress Janandola convention. In an open meeting held at J.C. Circle in Mandya during the fifth day of the Mysore Chalo Padayatra, Kumaraswamy accused Shivakumar of neglecting his own responsibilities by showcasing videos.
During his speech, Kumaraswamy expressed his frustration with the situation, mentioning that he had been advised not to discuss certain matters but eventually decided against it. He then addressed Shivakumar’s actions at the convention, referring to him as “Sidi Shiva” for presenting a DVD titled “Where Does the Chali Go” and replaying previous statements made by Kumaraswamy.
Kumaraswamy further questioned why certain key figures in Congress, such as Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, were omitted from being showcased and highlighted that Siddaramaiah had never spoken about Congress before.
The minister also criticized Congress for allegedly shedding crocodile tears over Karnataka’s “meke Datu” project while expressing discontent with their collaboration with DMK members in Delhi when discussing Cauvery issues. Additionally, he called out Mallikarjuna Kharge and other state-based Congress members for remaining silent during discussions led by Deve Gowda.
