A violent altercation unfolded at Sipayi Hotel in Maddur, Mandya, on December 1, following an argument over alcohol. The dispute began when the hotel staff denied Manu, a resident of Shivapura, and his friends permission to consume alcohol on the premises. This refusal sparked a heated argument, which soon escalated into a physical confrontation.
Later that night, Manu and his gang returned to the hotel armed with machetes and clubs, seeking revenge. They launched a brutal attack on the hotel manager, Dileep, and staff member, Chetan. The assault, resembling a scene from an action film, was captured on the hotel’s CCTV cameras. The footage shows the gang storming in and attacking the staff in a coordinated fashion.
Both Dileep and Chetan were severely injured and rushed to a private hospital in Mysuru, where they are receiving treatment. A case has been registered at the Maddur Police Station, and authorities are investigating the incident.
