Youth from Mandya loses life in late-night bike accident in Mysuru

A 24-year-old youth, M. Manoj from Annapoorneshwari Nagar, Mandya, tragically lost his life in a bike accident on the Outer Ring Road in Mysuru late Saturday night. Manoj, employed at a Reliance outlet in Kallahalli, was riding pillion when the mishap occurred.

On the evening of November 30, Manoj informed his family of plans to visit Mysuru. Accompanied by friends Deepu, Darshan, and Abhishek, he set off on two bikes—a TVS Apache RTR 160 and a TVS Apache RTR 310. After dining in Mysuru, Manoj handed his bike to Darshan and opted to ride pillion with Deepu on Abhishek’s bike.

While riding near the RBI stretch on the Ring Road, Deepu reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to skid. Manoj sustained critical head injuries and succumbed to them at the scene. VV Puram Traffic Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.

The accident underscores the importance of caution while riding at night and adhering to safety protocols.
