The CCB police in Mangalore have arrested two individuals, Bulubiro (24) from Odisha and Dil Dar Ali (28) from West Bengal, for smuggling and selling the banned drug ganja in the Tacchani area of Talapadi Devipura Road.
The accused were found in possession of 8.65 kg of ganja, valued at ₹2.60 lakh, which they had transported from Odisha to Mangalore via Bangalore. The police also seized assets worth ₹3.00 lakh, including two mobile phones used in the crime.
The duo had planned to sell the ganja to the public and students in Karnataka and Kerala. A case has been registered at the Ullal police station.
The search operation was led by ACP Manoj Kumar Naik of the CCB unit, along with Inspector Shyamsundar HM, PSI Sharanappa Bhandari, and other staff.
