Mangaluru: Representatives from three agencies are actively working on technical relief measures at the landslide site between Yadakumeri and Kadagaravalli, prioritizing passenger safety and train operations. South Western Railway General Manager Aravinda Srivatsava has emphasized the importance of infrastructure improvements for safe and reliable service.
The repair work is under close scrutiny, with trains set to resume only after confirming the site’s safety. Srivatsava, who traveled from Hubli on a special train, inspected the site and urged swift completion of repairs. He arrived at the site at 9 a.m. on Monday, accompanied by senior railway officials.
Additionally, landslides continue to affect National Highway-75 near Doddappale in Sakaleshpur taluk. Two JCBs are working to clear debris and restore traffic, with police stationed at the site for safety and security. Efforts are ongoing to return normalcy and ensure the safety of both passengers and commuters.
