Bantwal: Police have apprehended another suspect in connection with the gruesome killing of Abdul Rehman and the attempted murder of Kalander Shafi, which occurred in Kolatthamajalu, under the jurisdiction of Bantwal rural police.
The latest accused has been identified as Shahith, also known as Sahith (24), a native of Ammunje village. With his arrest, the total number of individuals held in the case has now reached 11.
The suspect was brought before the court, which has remanded him to police custody to enable further questioning and investigation.
The incident took place on May 27, when Abdul Rehman was fatally attacked by a group of known individuals wielding dangerous weapons. His companion, Kalander Shafi, sustained serious injuries in the assault. The attackers fled the location immediately after committing the crime.
Authorities have been conducting an intensive investigation since the day of the incident, gradually identifying and arresting those involved in the planned attack.
As the probe continues, the police are working to uncover the full motive behind the crime and determine the role of each accused.
