Dakshina Kannada: Karnataka Police have formed five teams to locate Diganth, a 17-year-old student from Farangipet, who has been missing since February 25.
Diganth, a Pre-University student at Capitanio College, Mangaluru, disappeared after collecting his exam hall ticket. He reportedly informed his family that he was heading to a temple, but never returned.
Speaker U T Khader, addressing the issue in the Legislative Assembly, highlighted the concern of his family and local residents, urging authorities to trace him quickly. In response, Primary and Secondary Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa detailed the ongoing search efforts.
Authorities discovered his mobile phone and slipper on a railway track. A 2-km radius search involving drones yielded no further clues. Officials are now attempting to unlock his 16-digit phone password and are analyzing his call records for leads.
