Mangaluru: Tragedy struck at a private beach resort near Uchila beach, Mangaluru, as three young women from Mysuru were found dead in the resort’s swimming pool.

The deceased have been identified as:
- Nishitha M.D. (21), resident of Kurubarahalli 4th Cross, Mysuru
- Parvathi S. (20), resident of K.R. Mohalla, Ramanuja Road, Mysuru
- Keerthana N. (21), resident of Devaraja Mohalla, Vijayanagar
The women, who had arrived at the resort on November 15, were reportedly playing in the pool when the incident occurred around 8:30 AM. Investigations suggest that one of them may have drowned, leading the other two to attempt a rescue, which tragically resulted in all three losing their lives.

Authorities have retrieved CCTV footage from the resort, which reportedly captured the moments leading up to the tragic incident. The footage is now a crucial part of the ongoing investigation, as it may provide clarity on how the events unfolded and whether negligence was involved.
Post-Mortem and Family Arrangements
Post-mortem examinations were conducted overnight at Government Wenlock Hospital, Mangaluru. The bodies were handed over to the families, who departed for Mysuru late in the night.
