The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) for undergraduate admissions is scheduled for April 16 and 17, with 8,089 students expected to take the exam across 23 centres in Udupi district. The distribution includes 12 centres in Udupi, five in Karkala, and six in Kundapur.

At a preparatory meeting held at Rajatadri, Deputy Commissioner Vidya Kumari K emphasized the need for flawless execution and strict adherence to protocols. She instructed officials to maintain the integrity of the examination process, avoiding any security lapses.

Question papers will be secured in the district treasury under police protection and CCTV surveillance. Distribution will be handled by teams of tahsildars, education officials, and principals, following scheduled procedures.

To ensure fairness, students are prohibited from carrying electronic gadgets, including smartwatches and mobile phones, and jewellery is not allowed. Candidates must arrive early with their hall ticket and valid ID proof, such as Aadhaar, PAN, passport, bus pass, or driving license.

The examination zone within 200 metres of each centre will be declared restricted, with police ensuring security. Each centre will have observers, room supervisors, and CCTV monitoring. Wall clocks will be installed in every hall for time tracking.

In light of the summer heat, drinking water will be provided, and Mescom has been directed to guarantee uninterrupted electricity. Medical staff will also be stationed at each location for emergencies.
