Mangaluru: Alva’s Education Foundation is set to host Samruddhi 2024, a grand festival celebrating jackfruit, a variety of fruits, food, agriculture, and showcasing an extensive exhibition of handicrafts. The event is held in memory of Mijar Guthu Anand Alva, a pioneer in agriculture, and will take place at Vidyagiri in Moodbidri from Friday to Sunday.

Dr. M Mohan Alva, chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation, announced that over 300 stalls will be part of this vibrant festival. These stalls will feature handicraft products from more than 15 states across India, providing a diverse and rich display of traditional craftsmanship.

The festival will be inaugurated by the newly elected MP of Dakshina Kannada, Capt Brijesh Chowta, at 10 am on Friday. Samruddhi 2024 promises to be a significant event for the local community and visitors, highlighting the cultural heritage and agricultural advancements of the region.

Attendees can look forward to exploring a wide array of handmade goods, enjoying local cuisine, and learning about sustainable agricultural practices.
