Belthangady: A mysterious individual who had earlier claimed to possess critical information and proof regarding crimes committed in Dharmasthala village has now appeared before the Belthangady court and recorded a statement before the judge.
The individual, who chose to remain anonymous, had initially sent a letter to the police through his lawyer, indicating that he held substantial evidence related to past criminal incidents in the village. Based on this correspondence, a case was registered at the Dharmasthala police station on July 4.
On Friday, the same person personally appeared before the Principal Civil Judge and First Class Judicial Magistrate at the Belthangady court. During the session, he reportedly gave a formal statement under oath.
Authorities are now expected to scrutinize the evidence and claims presented, which could potentially open new investigations into unresolved cases or lead to fresh legal proceedings concerning alleged past crimes in Dharmasthala.
More details are awaited as the legal process unfolds.
