Bantwal: Eighth Arrest Made in Abdul Rehman Murder Case; Probe Intensifies

Bantwal: In the Abdul Rehman murder case, registered at Bantwal Rural Police Station on May 27, 2025, under Crime No. 54/2025, authorities have now apprehended eight individuals in total.

The case has been filed under multiple provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023, specifically Sections 191(1), 191(2), 191(3), 118(1), 118(2), 109, 103, and 190, all relating to conspiracy, aiding crime, and causing harm.

Earlier, police had already arrested seven suspects in connection with the murder. As the inquiry progressed, on June 4, officials detained Ravi Sanjay (29), a resident of Bettagere, Sringeri. He was presented before the local court after his arrest.

The law enforcement authorities have confirmed that the investigation remains active, and any additional individuals found involved will face legal proceedings.

Officers emphasized that the probe is being conducted meticulously and all evidence is being scrutinized to ensure justice for the victim, Abdul Rehman.
