Mangaluru: The Baptist Sports Foundation is set to host the Republic Cup 2025, a District Level Inter-School Badminton Tournament, on 25th January 2025 at Father Muller’s Indoor Stadium, Mangaluru. The event promises a day filled with spirited competition and distinguished guests from diverse fields.
Event Details and Schedule
The tournament will kick off with an inaugural ceremony at 9:30 AM, graced by Sri. Captain Brijesh Chowta, Member of Parliament for Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha Constituency, as the Chief Guest. Sri Vedavyas Kamath, MLA of Mangaluru City South and President of the Dakshina Kannada District Badminton Association (DKDBA), will preside over the event.
The inauguration will be conducted by Sri. Ivan D’souza, MLC of Mangaluru South, while Sri. Manoj Kumar, Mayor of Mangaluru City Corporation, will perform the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.

The day will conclude with a Valedictory Ceremony at 4:30 PM. Sri. Pradeep D’Souza, Deputy Director of the Youth Empowerment and Sports Department, will serve as the Chief Guest.
