Two people, including Kotathattu Gram Panchayat Vice President Saraswati and her daughter Saujanya, were severely injured in a bee attack. The incident occurred under Kotathattu Gram Panchayat limits.

The swarm descended near a tree with large honeycombs, targeting the victims. Responding swiftly, locals, led by Gram Panchayat President Sathish Kundar, used sackcloth and clothing to shield Saraswati and Saujanya, providing initial aid amidst the chaos. Tragically, Kundar was also stung during the daring rescue.

The injured were rushed to Kundapur Taluk Hospital in a Jeevan Mitra Ambulance, operated by Nagaraja Puthran. Despite the ordeal, the timely intervention averted further harm.

This incident highlights the risks of human-wildlife encounters in rural areas, calling for better measures to prevent such attacks near populated zones.
